On 12/17/19, I had what appeared to be an allergic reaction in my body after eating fish and a kale salad. Considering I had eaten this combination of food before, the symptoms did not match my reactions. My body started itching and my ears became hot. I began to get whips on my face. Although I could not see the whips, it felt like my face was swelling. I got whips all over my arm as well, but I couldn't see them. It appeared as if I had an allergic reaction to something that I ate. Since I could not determine the cause, I stopped eating and started praying in tongues quietly. I felt bad and my stomach was hurting. I rested that night and when I rouse from my sleep the Holy Spirit said, "this spirit only comes out through fasting and prayer" (Mark 9:29) not speaking in tongues. I began to study that scripture which led me to Jesus fasting in the wilderness.
My Study Time
I noticed in my study time that the words fasting and prayer were reversed to "prayer and fasting" in majority of the bible versions. The only bible version that I saw that represented what the Holy Spirit said to me was Aramaic Bible in Plain English version. Fasting and Prayer both go together, and there is a divine order in which they take place. When an enemy is coming against you, fasting has to happen first because it shuts the enemy down within and immediately you posture yourself in humility before the Lord. When I spoke in tongues, I did it quietly in my spirit which shifted the enemy in my mind for God to fight that battle. I was actually shifting in my mind for the change of becoming the prayer like Jesus did in his wilderness. I became the prayer, and I could not cast out the demonic force unless I remained in the proper order with the Holy Spirit. When the enemy comes against you, your power is in becoming like Jesus Christ in that instance with the help of the Holy Spirit. Jesus endured fasting after he was baptized and led into the wilderness. He did not need to be baptized because he was without sin, but he had to fulfill the scripture for the fullness of his glory for God.
Divine Order Before the Launch of Jesus's Ministry
1. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:13-17).
2. Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tempted in 3 areas (Matthew 4:1-11).
3. Jesus began to fast with NO FOOD in the wilderness for 40 days and nights (Matthew 4:2) then Satan arrived on the scene to tempt him, and Jesus responses to Satan was the word of God which is prayer. Jesus was the word of God, and he could quote the scriptures because he was the son of God and he had the power to resist Satan's (James 4:7). Jesus was tempted in the same 3 areas that Eve experienced in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1-6). In the areas of lust, pride of knowledge and ultimately she worshiped Satan in her decision and shared her sin of deception with her husband. This brought the curse, but it was prophesied in Genesis 3:15 that the seed of a woman would bruise Satan's head. This bruising was the cross (John 19:28-30). So when we resist Satan in these 3 areas today through repentance, baptism, fasting and prayer, victory is won because Jesus Christ has already paid the price and defeated him for the glory of God. Our assignment is to believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior because the Kingdom that Jesus preached is about to be launched into the earth as it is in heaven so you can be free from Satan's grip in the 3 areas below and serve Jesus Christ: a. Lust through "self-ability, power" (Matthew 4:3)
b. The pride of knowledge through "truth or dare, ambition" (Matthew 4:6) c. Serve him in worship "fame, money, celebrity" (Matthew 4:9).
4. He passed the tests, and angels came to minister to him (Matthew 4:11).
5. Jesus began his ministry "Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near" (Matthew 4:13-17).
As I studied the scripture, I started with the King James Version (KJV). The spirit said specifically "fasting and prayer". When I reviewed the scriptures in the "Bible Hub" for (Mark 9:29), it breaks down each version by scripture.
Versions I have used with "prayer and fasting"
"And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting" (KJV).
"So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting” (NKJV).
"He replied, "This kind can come out only by prayer" (NIV).
"Jesus replied, “This kind can be cast out only by prayer" (NLT).
" And he told them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer" (CSB).
My new study version alongside the King James Version (KJV)
He said to them, “This sort cannot come out by anything except by fasting and by prayer” ( Aramaic Bible in Plain English )
Study Results
When I saw the reversal with the words fasting and prayer, I began to realize that I have to rely on the Holy Spirit first then study the scripture. I began to only reference the KJV for my original studies, and I will include the Aramaic Bible in Plain English to my studies for comparison of what the Holy Spirit reveals to me. I use other versions, but it has to be based on my studies.
So during and after my studying, I fasted with no food until I received the revelation on what I was experiencing which came to me by noon on 12/18/19. The revelation was very heavy. The heaviness continued through today and the Holy Spirit prompted me to pray. The last revelation that came to me on 12/18/19 was when the enemy has been casted down he will be seen with your natural eyes, the Kingdom of God will have arrived (Luke 11:20; Matthew 12:28) given people time to repent because God is merciful. Do not be afraid of their faces (Jeremiah 1:8). God will fight for us like he did for Moses and the children of Israel (Exodus 14:14) because this battle belongs to him (2 Chronicles 20:15).
I pray that individual repent and turn to God. I pray for the continued hedge of protection surrounding me, my husband and my son. I pray for God's protection over the Jackson's, the Crawford's, the Brewer's, the Solomon's, the Walton's, The Johnson's, my best friend Lynn and her family, Titavia Smith, my student's from Kerwin B. Life Center, my daughter's God Mother, church's, schools, and the nation of Judah and Israel.
