"We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV). Leadership will be shaken and when the tree falls, we do not need to be in the path of God's wrath. We need to move out of the way and not be in the path. I pray in this time, in this season, for this generation of God's people get out of the path of sin, darkness, and the system that bounds his people and put on their whole armor so when God exposes the enemies tactics, strategies, and plans to the world they are suited up and ready for battle. I pray that God's people are protected and covered through the battle by God himself. I pray that God invites them into the ark to shield them from the attacks. Prepare yourself in your armor by believing in Jesus Christ with your whole heart by faith. Walk in the truth of the word of God and do not lie, steal or cheat others. Guard your heart and ensure your mouth has no unclean words flowing from its fountain. Walk in peace through the storm, and pray consistently. I am going to paraphrase Ephesians 6:11-18.
1. Put on your helmet of salvation - Believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior and that he died for your sins; Confess your sins; Repent and be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and The Holy Spirit. Serve one master and do not submit to the flesh, but walk in the spirit by faith.
2. Put on your belt of truth - Do not lie to the Holy Spirit, but speak the truth in love that you may not sin against the Lord.
3. Put on your breastplate of righteousness - Walk in who you are in Christ and speak those things that are not as though they are (Romans 4:17). Speak healing into your sick body. Speak life into your broken finances; Speak life into your business; Speak life into your children; Speak life into your marriage; Speak life into your job; Speak life into your circumstances and situations. Walk in who your are as kings, priest, prophets, disciples of Christ, servants of the living God.
4. Put on your shoes of peace - Through the storm, walk in peace by listening to the Holy Spirit and quickly responding in obedience to the word. Do not harden your heart. Do not participate in strife and empty words. Let them pass by and take up the spirit of peace to walk in your journey.
5. Get your sword of the spirit - The spirit speaks by the word of God. If what you are doing is not proceeded with the word of God, its it not of God.
6. Walk in faith with your shield - Walk in the spirit so you can shield yourself and your family from the darts and arrows that will be thrown by the enemy once they are fully exposed. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. Be still if you do not hear the word lighting up your path to walk. You are the salt of the earth so wait on God to give you the word to be that light to your area.
